1. Ram Jethmalani
Ram Jethmalani comes first in terms of earning among the biggest lawyers of the country. Jethmalani is a well-known Supreme Court lawyer and politician. 90-year-old Jethmalani is standing firmly in this field even at this age. He has very good knowledge of criminal and constitutional rules and regulations.
He has fought many big cases, from the lobbying of Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi to the bail of Asaram. Not only this, he has also been a lawyer for Afzal Guru, an accused in the Parliament attack. Their per hearing fee is Rs 25 lakhs, which means they charge Rs 25 lakhs for one time appearance in the court.
2. Harish Salve
Harish Salve is second in this list of expensive lawyers. He is very well versed in law. He is known to express his opinion freely on any issue. Salve served as the Solicitor General in the Central Government from 1999 to 2002. Not only this, he is ranked 18th in the list of the most powerful people in the country. He charges Rs 30 lakh for the hearing of each case. In India's Supreme Court, he argued the first anti dumping case. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited, Salman Khan, Tata Group is among his many clients. He also defended Kulbhushan Jadav at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), who was given the death penalty by the Pakistani military after being suspected of being a spy. Recently, he got appointed as a Counsel for the Queen in the England and Wales Courts in 2020.
He is also fighting the hit and run case of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. His clients include leading companies like Reliance, Tata, ITC and even Vodafone.
3.Kapil Sibbal
Kapil Sibal is known for holding various important designations in the Government of India. He joined the Bar Association in 1972 and became a senior advocate in 1983 In 2007, the Indian Delegation in Bali known as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was held by him. He was the only lawyer who has appeared in Parliament and had defended a judge of the Supreme Court in the Proceedings for Impeachment. Some of the well-known cases of which he had been a part are the Coal Scam, BCCI Scam, and the National Herald Case.
According to information given in Mint in 2015, former law minister Kapil Sibal used to charge at least 8 lakh to 15 lakh for appearing in the Supreme Court once. If reports are to be believed, Sibal now charges up to ₹20-25 lakh per hearing in the Supreme Court. At the same time, the High Court charges a fee of Rs 9 to 16 lakh.
He is a Reputed Lawyer.
4.Fali Nariman
Fali Nariman is considered a better lawyer. Through his questions in the court, the opponents are blown away. He has vast experience in the profession of advocacy. Also, he has good knowledge of the constitution.
He mostly fights cases for political parties and business firms. He charges Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh for a five-minute debate while Rs 25 lakh for a hearing. He has been active in this profession for a long time and is one of the most successful lawyers in the country.
He was a recipient of the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and Padma Vibhusan in 2007 and was also awarded the Gruber Prize of Justice in 2002.
5.Soli J Sorabji

He was twice appointed Attorney General of India.
6.Salman Khurshid

Even though Salman Khurshid decided to join politics in 1991 when he won election as a member of the parliament, he didn’t not totally end his legal profession. No doubt, he is one of the highest paid and richest lawyers in India today.
